Acupuncture in Water Mill
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to support the body’s natural ability to heal. At our office, it’s practiced with the same precision and personalization that defines everything Water Mill Chiropractor Dr. Janet Cirrone does.
Trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles, she brings 30 years of clinical experience and a caring manner to every acupuncture session for patients in the area.
NEW PATIENTS
How It Promotes Whole-Body Wellness
Not every patient needs the same type of care. Acupuncture tends to work best when pain has a strong emotional or energetic component—when someone is highly sensitive to touch, managing stress-related symptoms, or when the nervous system needs calming rather than physical manipulation.
Conditions like anxiety, long COVID, infertility, chronic headaches, and myofascial pain syndrome often respond especially well. Our chiropractor may recommend acupuncture on its own or alongside chiropractic care and myofascial release, depending on what your body needs most.

Two Traditions, One Personalized Plan
Dr. Cirrone tailors her acupuncture approach to each patient’s comfort level and presentation. Chinese acupuncture uses slightly larger needles and produces a more physical sensation, while Japanese acupuncture is gentler and more energetic, which is ideal for first-time patients or those who are sensitive.
Every point prescription is built around the individual. Two patients with the same diagnosis may receive entirely different plans based on their unique symptoms, constitution, and energy patterns. That level of customization is what makes acupuncture here so effective.
What to Expect at Your First Session
Dr. Cirrone walks every new patient through each step of their session, explaining the points being used and what they’re intended to support. Sessions run between 30 minutes and an hour and a half, and treatment always takes place on the same day as your initial exam.
